Most importantly, Empress Menen was a modern woman of her time from her hairstyles to her outlook on the power of educating young girls and women. The Empress built the nation’s first childcare centers and trade schools for working mothers. During this process, she single-handedly started the nation's conversation of equipping women with the necessary tools to lead through education and understanding the complexities of not only motherhood but womanhood and its power.
